>Windows Updates reinstalls old graphics drivers from 2021 on top of the new ones.
>Disable updates using that Wud.exe tool
>Reinstall the new graphics drivers again.
>fuck it i'll just watch some retro anime
>Audio starts freezing
>turns out updates installed some RTS tool that enhances audio
>Remove all updates using console commands.
Audio is half-fixed, but so much time was wasted.

I usually do this for a new install:
>install windows
>download all windows updates
>install video drivers last

Windows is pure pajeetware and the only reason I'm still with it is inertia and niche software. I still have this obscure issue where the input delay on my keyboard will randomly set itself to the slowest possible (most noticeable when I'm trying to delete a few words). I'll go to the settings, see it's exactly as I had them (lowest input delay), but it will function as if I had them on the highest setting. The only way to fix this is to move the bar a bit, then move it back and hit OK. But it'll keep doing this randomly and it's gotten real obnoxious.
The real kicker is that if you go to any Microsoft forum about it, they give you the most braindead fixes. Typically it's shit like restoring factory settings or creating a new user.
And don't get me started on the random restarts with no warning while I'm in the middle of playing a game. Whatever shithead added that features deserves a thousand stubbed toes.

I had this once. Can't remember what I did to fix it. Might have been disabling hardware rendering in the web browser, might not have been.
