makes sense as windows gets more and more invasive and totalitarian. Linux has its faults but at least it respects the privacy of its users.

PewDiePie is a racist piece of shit who's made a career out of mocking and belittling people from other cultures, especially Indians, for cheap laughs.

There's something seriously gross about how he constantly targets Indians in his jokes and content. The T-Series feud wasn't just internet drama. It was a full on campaign where he encouraged millions of his fans to ridicule India. And the peak of that campaign was his song "Bitch Lasagna", which was basically just a string of racist stereotypes about Indian people dressed up as a joke. He's made it clear that Indians are fair game for ridicule as long as it gets him views.

His fans try to brush it off like "oh it was just a meme war" but it wasn't. It was a Western millionaire rallying his fanbase to mock a country where poverty is widespread and opportunities are limited. And instead of taking real responsibility, he just offered half assed apologies and kept cashing the checks.

It's easy to laugh at people's struggles when you've never faced them. Coming from Sweden, living in luxury, PewDiePie has no understanding of what economic desperation looks like in places like India. Telling people to "just get a better job" or mocking the country's infrastructure isn't edgy, it's ignorant.

He went after an entire country and culture and it's all for some ad revenue and winning bullshit internet war.

Your people might get more sympathy if you weren't constantly trying to fucking scam everyones parents and grandparents non-stop, and con your way into jobs you're not qualified for. And stop trying to rape women non-stop and have that shit constantly coming out of your country where you get shit like
>woman was attacked on bus
>raped
>and fucking disemboweled by an entire party on the bus
>her male chaperone was knocked unconscious and thrown off the bus.

anybody on the fence, you can just make a bootable usb and try it without installing. but really quit being a bitch and uninstall windows

It's less miserable to use. If you've been using windows since win 2000 anyway. Modern windows feels like you're using someone elses computer.

>comparable functionality to windows
Meaning what?
If you want a desktop environment that isn't wildly different from Windows then get a distribution that comes with KDE or Cinnamon.
If you're hoping there's a magical Linux distribution that will run .exe files without Wine, get you into Fortnite servers, and come with Microsoft Office pre-installed then you can forget about Linux entirely.
Linux distributions are basically the same except for desktop environment (the main thing you'll care about), release cycle (you might care about this too), package manager (you don't care unless you're going to use the command line to install packages), and some other minor things (you don't care unless you're a power user or LARPING as one). They'll all get the same versions of Proton from Steam, and they'll generally all be able to run the same games.

Doesn't matter for components and ntfsc isn't recommended for Linux. It shits itself when Linux write a character it can't handle. At least for proton gaming.
>>718550438
Let's assume you just want something that feels like Windows but good. That's KDE. If you want slightly clunkier but slightly less resource hungry thing, xfce. These are desktop environments and they are on almost every distro.

I play a lot of vidya so unless Linux has reached parity with Windows on that front, I can't make the switch. If you don't play a lot of vidya, then I can't see why you wouldn't transition.

I intend to change to linux. Not sure which one to go with. Mint is supposed to be for dummies so maybe that one
Anonymous No.718556580 >>718557080

theyre different linux distribution types, like windows 7/10/11/8 but not upgrades, different types of the same general O/S. Arch is the same type that steam uses, including for the deck, its also usually the most updated, but can make it buggy, tho you don't always have to update immediately. This also makes it good for gaming tho.
debian is ubuntu, and mint is an off-shoot of ubuntu. Mint is more privacy oriented and user friendly than ubuntu which has a proprietary software download store that you cant see how it works known as snap packages, which the devs of mint didnt like, as linux is generally open source. Ubuntu also had controversial shit in it like a tracker from amazon, and ads in the terminal.
fedora is more commercial, and has money behind it, and bazzite is their new OS thats supposed to be THE install for linux gaming and windows migration cause its supposed to be easy, but i have heard of bugs and corrupted drivers
>ubuntu
Like I said, ubuntu has done some shit that linux users don't like, as linux is based around privacy and open source, and ubuntus software manager where you get apps uses proprietary software people cant see and just have to trust em, they also had the amazon tracker incident and the ads in the terminal shit recently. Just best to avoid it imo.

I have a modest PC that I built less than ten years ago that runs Windows 10 perfectly fine and runs everything that I've wanted to play perfectly fine until the last few years. Windows tells me I won't be able to run Windows 11 so I guess when my ESU runs out, I'll have no choice unless I can become employed again by then

I don't wake up to find my computer's changed settings in the middle of the night, and I don't have to worry about software that hasn't been updated in the last 5 years crashing the computer because of some vaguely defined exception. And it's way easier to manage repos using terminal.
