All of this is correct except yotei has weirdly low sales that no one can explain because it is a decent game. The effect is entirely caused by self insert retards who won't play as a woman. Specifically jap men who fall into this category. Silksong does live up to the hype and it is a close call, but silksong doesn't have voiced (in a spoken language) story so it loses.

I don't even think E33 has a noteworthy story, but you are crazy if you think silent hillf will be good in any metric. E33 had great voice acting which consumers are not articulate enough to express so they just call it a good story. It's actually that VA difference that, no matter how good silksong ends up being, will win E33 goty. Gobbledygook bug language noises can't compete. Those performances had more of an effect of endearing the common rabble to the characters than the content of the story. Often times story content is entirely irrelevant when someone says they resonated with a story because it was the expressions themselves not the scaffolding that won their hearts over. Humans really suck at articulating what they actually enjoy and desire.

basically anything else should win. It doesn't even have to be supremely polished like Astrobot was. if there's anything with even half good gameplay and actual visual clarity it deserves to win over a UE5 slop asset flip.
