>Valve already debunked the Fremont home console not being real
We're only getting the Ibex, the Deckard, the Roy, the Steam Deck 2, and Half-Life 3.

Sounds like a no brainer to try this again, yea. The Deck works pretty well and support for it has been really promising so this is the next logical step. Valve has the added advantage that they don't need to hit it big to make back their investments or anything. All they need is to find more ways to deliver their store to people and very slowly lose their dependence on Windows.

Yeah... Hopefully that's not the final product. Also no way the deckard will be 4K per eye, so not interested.

We're getting a Steam Deck 2, Valve already confirmed they're doing that and not this. They already seen how bad the home console market was, they're never doing that again.

I still want this shit, but I'm a little worried about the ergo since it's vaguely the shape of the XboneX Ps5 controller.

How about releasing a new single player game?

Literally why do you care about it if you don't want the touchpads? At that point it's only feature is gyro and the back buttons and you can easily get that with a modded dualshock/sense.

There's not much of a reason for them to bother with stationary consoles because people can just hook the deck up to their tv. Yeah maybe they could squeeze slightly better specs into it, but that's not gonna be a big priority to them.

I'd honestly only want this if it meant Valve finally put out a Source 2 sdk.

Exactly, plus on their Steam Deck website, it seems like they want to promote it like the Switch, but you can tell they hate using Microsoft's controller over their own, I can see with the Steam Deck 2, it'll be like a console launch situation where the Steam Deck 2 will launch with the dock, Ibex, Deckard, and Roy, having connectivity to all of those devices. Wonder will the dock be better than the original Steam Deck's.
