It wasn't even in development when Routine was announced and it's even been more than a decade since it released to critical acclaim.
That's not even a mogging, that's utter obliteration.

Are you sure? By my check, Routine's announcement and Isolation's release were only like two years apart, that'd be damn short of a dev for a game like that

It looked cool back then
Now its nothing special, ESPECIALLY since analogue horror became a full fad and was exhausted of worth in all that time
I remember being excited for this then Alien Isolation came out and scratched the same itch. Turns out it scratched a decade before Routine could even come out lol
>Have a cool idea for a horror game >Get everyone excited >Get mogged by the rare good AAA developers (Before they shat themselves and imploded) >Get mogged by indie games >Took too long, is no longer relevant
It cannot be overstated how much being an indie game developer is suffering. I really do feel for this guy.
its gonna be the most average first person spooky runaway from the monsters horror game but i've been waiting since the original announcement so i simply have to play it

Should have rolled the assets into a lower effort survival craftathon. He would have been just in time to hit the big wave of post-minecraft money.

Yes, welcome to the rigors of artistic integrity.
Maybe don't make a passion project if you still can't put food on the table before or even after you'll finish it.
