>>718578862 (OP) >unskippable intro >press a bunch of buttons trying to skip >accidentaly start the game with cheats enabled
Happened to me with Dino Crisis

That's an instant refund for me now. Don't care how petty it seems, if the intro can't be skipped, its not something I want to own or have paid for.

I straight up dropped one of the newer Abe's Odyssey games 2 mins into it, 0 gameplay, because the intro was like 15 mins long and unskippable. Fucking brain dead faggots.

I'm obviously exaggerating you autistic nigger. I even looked it up online and a bunch of people were complaining about the intro being unskippable.

Which game? Soulstorm?
Either way, feels weird to go into an oddworld game and not watch the cutscenes. That was a huge appeal of the originals.
>>718578862 (OP) >Unvoiced dialogue where nothing happens other than line reads, character just stand around >Can't skip, need to wait for the text scrolling to complete
No good game does this.
>>718583153 >Soulstorm
I think it was...honestly don't remember I just remember the original cutscene being long as shit with some airship or airplane in the sky. Shit taking 90 years when I just want to get into the game. There are some games where I genuinely want to watch the cutscenes and shit...and then there are some games where I couldn't care less and I just want to jump into the action. But like someone else said, not having the option to skip the shit is just faggotry. It's like when games have unskippable credits at the end...like you can be an annoying faggot and do that but I'm STILL not going to watch the credits...so why force the shit on me?

If you tell me the name of the game, I'll confirm if you can skip the cutscenes or not.
When I played, I could skip everything. But I played a late release on the Switch, so it may have been updated compared to the one you played.

I dropped Resident Evil: Village after 10 minutes because of this. >start the game with unskippable first person cutscenes >immediately goes into forced linear walking
Someone better have gotten fired.

What console did you play it on? I'll try and find out if it updated for you.
Also was this your first Oddworld game? Or did you play the others?
