For what it's worth, I loved the concept of The Alters and I really want to get back into it. I've just been distracted by other stuff that's come out this year. 2025 has actually been a pretty damn good year for gaming, anons are just too focused on the AI/DEI/LGBTQ boogeyman to see past their own noses.

The only faggot I see here is you, anon. As for your other points, if you don't like the gameplay, that's fine, it's a subjective thing. But at its heart The Alters is a strategy/management game more than anything else - the gameplay is designed around what essentially becomes menu and resource management. And yes, fix the game breaking bugs for sure. They did have a pretty good sized patch that came out about a week ago, so at least they're still working on it

this was a bit of a letdown because Frostpunk was so good (FP2 was almost good but they managed to gut the whole generator temperature management which defined the whole game), it's too simple when it comes to the resource management, basebuilding is very limited, theres no replay value at all

it's a narrative story game first and it doesn't exactly hit any high peaks at any point
