apex legends succeeded because of respawn's industry cred, its cartoon visuals softening any potential cringe character designs, and the fact that it came out 6 years ago when the gaas audience wasn't completely saturated with games. there is absolutely no reason to think that a game from a no name studio with starfield esque character models is going to succeed at the level needed to sustain gaas continued expense.
