The Ebony set looks the best, but Dawnguard is #2.

For me it's the Nordic Carved Armor, with the caveat of going helmetless because the Nordic Carved helmet looks fucking stupid.
The rest of it looks badass, and I love the furred neck bit.

I've always felt Skyrim and Oblivion got their armor design inverted: oblivion is a high fantasy game with grounded armors, skyrim is the opposite for some reason. Anything higher than steel plate in skyrim feels like it was made by children.

Be thankful that they at least ATTEMPTED to give the visuals some flavor again in the vein of Morrowind.

I'm usually against 'floaty crystals and glowing runes and spikes everywhere ' type fantasy armor but for the most part TES 3 and 5 strike a good balance where everything looks pretty crazy but also somewhat mundane. Like yeah that dude is wearing a crazy crab shell armor but that's what's available in the region and it's not too egregious

This is what I have been missing in fantasy games for so long. I want some actual alien cultures influenced by their alien environment.
If only Skyrim had been half as good in at as Morrowind.
