I'm a console player and even I acknolwdge that rotational aim assist is straight up cheating
you can be a god of aim and movement and you will never catch up with the benefits that aim assist provides
in a 1v1 fight even top percentile players will struggle, not to mention the others

I still do just fine in my 30s. I'm sure my reaction time is not quite what it used to be but I'm still usually in the top 10-20% in a match if I'm trying.

The main thing is that in order to be pro at PvP games you have to play several hours every day to build and maintain the skill. At 30+, most of us just don't have the time or energy to do that anymore, so we get a little rusty.

The future that we are locked in on is that competitive FPSs die off because everybody is fully away how bad the problem is but far too few people want to actually admit it or actually do anything productive about it.
