That series was doomed from the start the second they made it live action, the series starts with the boys being 18 and ends with them at 20, making it to the end would take at least 10 seasons and they still would have to cut a lot of content, add to the mix a faggot at the helm that butchered every character who thought it was a good idea to waste time with fanfiction written to please his fetishes by putting his boyfriend in an interracial polycule and it's no fucking wonder that shit got cancelled. If we're talking actual strong female leads with good writing and not just the "girlboss with zero flaws" archetype-check out The Longest Journey. April Ryan is probably one of the most nuanced female protagonists in gaming. She's not just a badass, she’s relatable, layered, and her story actually evolves meaningfully. Also Jill from Resident Evil (the older games especially) was written like a competent professional and not some caricature.

I feel bad about this series because I stopped reading when the author died and then by the time the other guy finished the story I had forgotten all of the plot points and didn't feel like rereading thousands of pages to remember everything so now I will never know how it ends. the same thing happened to me with xenosaga 3 where I stopped playing right before the final dungeon and then forgot everything before I could resume playing.

I'm rereading the books right now, I convinced myself that she only became unlikable after meeting other Aes Sedai but nope, she was already bad as far back as the escape from EF and the AS arrogance only made her worse.

Some incredibly based autist made a Wheel of Time quest mod for Skyrim. You get Aviendha as a custom companion with well done custom voice lines and meet Moiraine and Lan and a bunch of others as you work to defeat the dark one in an incredibly condensed version of WoT's story that centers around the idea that Dragonborn = Dragon Reborn. It's still a much better adaptation than the Amazon show.

Alicia, while not really "strong", is written very well and reasonably for a girl her age dealing with all the terrible things that have happened to her. In fact she is rather weak mentally, but it is a developed and necessary part of her character. It makes sense that she is "weak", and her story in the game shows her develop a different sense of strength sourced from years of pain and tragedy, a kind that shows in the way she is growing up and making her own decisions. It's a strength that can even seem misguided or flat out wrong, but it is fully justified and well developed throughout the entire game rather than coming up out of nowhere.
