No matter how skilled he is Shiki still has to look at the lines to see where they are on an individual. If Shirou traced SHiki's knife he'd get some of the best assassination techniques ever invented but he wouldn't be able to intuit where the lines are. Kind of embarrassing to admit but there have been books with zero explicit sexual content that I read that made me far harder than any eroge I played in the past because it felt like the author was blueballing me for hundreds of pages on end with the romance. The characters were likable and realistic and their chemistry was outstanding, both things that are very rare for eroge to even come close to achieving.

It's a shame because romantic sex can be such a beautiful thing, not even in an exclusively sexual way, but as like, the pinnacle of physical and emotional intimacy between men and women, a display of mutual trust. I'm personally a huge fan of D. H. Lawrence for this latter kind of depiction of sex.
