You don't. Bots are the grease in the economy and the thing keeping jamflexes lights on, EOC has a tenth the player count and likely a tenth the member count; and likely half the concurrent players of osrs are bots based on the price trend of easily bottable goods.
Jagex won't because they're making too much money from the botters, and the botters won't stop because it's easier than ever to bot and stack gold and accounts for resale as pures and for more advanced bots. And here's the thing, you're winning too whenever you're not trying to just make money because the price of training pretty much everything is suppressed by an abundance of cheap goods. As long as you're playing for fun and have a stack of gold, the status quo isn't that bad

Skilling and gathering actually used to be somewhat profitable for low-med level accounts, now everything is hyperfocused on end game pvm for rares. Even those are botted, check the top accounts for Doom and see how many have literally no KC in anything else with bare minimum skills for the quest recs.

It's still very easy to pay for membership with bonds once you reach late-game where 10m+/hr methods are available. Low-mid level players should have never been trying to grind out bonds at that stage in their account.

This. I hear the argument "it makes the game more accessible" way too much. It's a piss poor argument that doesn't hold water.

Right now, botting is the worst I think I've ever seen. And it's affects the vast majority of the player base and puts anyone who isn't botting (or running a bot farm) at serious disadvantage. Suddenly, skilling is worth a lot less. Drops are worth a lot less. And your time invested into the game, guess what..... is worth a lot less. And sure if the bots were suddenly gone, then items would sky rocket in price, and players wouldn't be able to buy w/e the fuck they want. But then skilling/pvm would be more worthwhile and worth way more gold.

Also fuck membership bonds. That pay2win shit is almost bad as the bots for the similar reasons.

Pvm is absolutely still worthwhile even braindead mid-level bosses can still make you millions an hour even with a ton of bots in the game. Skilling should never be that good of a moneymaker with how low effort it is. It should be aimed at providing different avenues of utility instead.
