People tried it because it’s well reviewed and discovered it’s not the type of game they like. I played it before the hype because I immediately knew it’s the type of game that appeals to me.

I wanted to like it but almost every aspect of the game that isn't the bossfights or general movement feel is just liquid diarrhea.
It's sad, I even put the game on hiatus to come back to it when I had more free time because first impressions led me to believe this was the kind of game I would love. Sadly, that was not the case.
