Letโ€™s seeโ€ฆthatโ€™s from level 3 of 8 from a childrenโ€™s game on a handheld in the 90s? Isnโ€™t that the first required bombable wall too?

the stone owls pretty much are a solution manual
stone slabs were the superior hint givers

After some research, I remember you have to bomb the wall to reveal a soldier in the castle for a gold leaf. But I think itโ€™s the first wall that becomes a door.

Isn't that from the first dungeon? I think the puzzles (especially in Ages) get really tricky towards the end

The ages games are Chinese bootleg tier.
They were testing out an unknown (at the time (director) so they didn't let him make a real game on a console. He was tasked with making a handheld game instead, and was only allowed to use assets from a previous title.

why do redditors add shit like "let's see... *scratches chin*" to posts as if you are audibly speaking?

arrows were that generations yellow paint

there's a bombable wall in the first dungeon and it's unmarked and the room behind it doesn't show on the map, you have to test it by sound because it makes a different noise if the sword hits the wall in that exact spot

Talking to every NPC was that generation's yellow paint
Some games got completely fucked in localization though and made much more obtuse as a result
Anonymous No.718633668 >>718633815
>>718632127
i think its weird that yellow paint is even a thing considering how popular fromsoft is and how insanely obtuse their games are with finding out where to go, how to do quests, find characters, etc. devs have such little faith in gamers its unreal. they really dont need yellow paint at all if they can navigate the obtuseness of games like dark souls 3 and elden ring.
Anonymous No.718633815 >>718634309
>>718633668
Fromsoft's sidequests are fucked up but actually getting through the games is fairly straightforward.
Elden Ring has literal golden beams of light pointing you to major points of interest/progression.
But yes most games are focus tested into oblivion and they try to make it retardproof because most people get stuck once and immediately give up

yet they're the best 2D zeldas, weird how that turns out.
Anonymous No.718634309 >>718635346
>>718633815
well yeah the golden beams are one thing, but to actually explore the world and do quests for npcs and shit it is incredibly difficult to figure out on your own. most players do follow fextralife guides and shit to figure it out, but the point stands that the games are designed in a way where there is minimal handholding, and the game are fuckhuge popular. idk man. its just weird to me. especially with linear as fuck games like resident evil and shit.

Even DS2's disjointed ass main path is super linear and the only maybe obtuse parts are how to fall into the Gutter without dying if you missed the cat NPC, and backtracking for the Giants Memory bullshit
