It's mostly boss fights. If you enjoy the boss fights in this game then go do it because it has some of the best ones, but otherwise there's not a huge amount your missing.

I would do the Grimm Troupe stuff, the boss is fun.
Whether you want to do the pantheon stuff is your choice, just keep in mind it's an extended boss rush with some new bosses mixed in. Some people get so into it they start acting like it's the main point of the game, but exploration always came first for me.

DLC was my favourite part of the game. Nightmare King Grimm and Pure Vessel are the best bosses in the game by far, you'll have a blast fighting them. The boss rush stuff is fun, but the main thing is that it lets you freely refight any boss in the game apart from base Radiance and the Hollow Knight.

it took me all of ten seconds to decide hollow knight was going to be lame. slow games aren't fun. super metroid at least gave you something to do with the level design before it starts giving you gofast items. instead it's wide open flat areas and extremely boring combat for who knows how long. pass.
