Yeah, it's cheaper to use robots literally right now. The big problem is making them all work together in harmony and not fucking up anything, and probably regulations set by the McDonalds corporation on what franchisees can do.
They're spending half a million per year per franchise paying wagies.
Basically they won't all be replaced at once, it will have to be a gradual shift to not slow anything down or screw anything up - they have a working business and they're worried about just going out on a limb and trying new things, franchises are not "flexible" like a normal store is and they have to make sure not to get fucked by corporate.
