It seems like they tried to scrub textures to get the switch version playable in handheld, but I imagine docked it might be a little less terrible, probably close to the deck.

I played Bloodborne on a base PS4, and it ran at 30fps with occasional frame drops, but I never heard anyone really complain back then. I didn’t play Elden Ring on PS4, but I’m sure it’s more or less the same. Times change, people’s standards change too. There’s no way to satisfy everyone unless everything runs at 120fps.

I got around 40 fps in most spots on my LCD 'eck, there were some obvious frame drops but I've had worse on PS4 BB. I only really had issues when fighting the magic dragon in Liurnia, a terrible combination that made even my PC weak in the knees on my first playthrough. Picrel is the only screenshot I took and it was at 40 IIRC.

It's because the mongoloids at fromsoft are too retarded to add DLSS in the game. Cyberpunk runs solidly because it's using DLSS to upscale from 540p to 1080p. I have no idea why fromsoft is too lazy to add DLSS support here, it really wouldn't take much effort or time.

The game does have insane issues with multicore performance. Intel sufferers have to literally disable cores to get a solid 60fps at any settings.The Switch 2, being a heterogenous architecture (bad) and with ARM ISA (difficult to port) is a nightmare for a company that's done nothing but homogenous X86 programming (like From). From not adding any sort of DLSS or MFG or even FSR to their games means the only trick left is dynamic resolution and texture degradation.
