The reveal had a much better opening with Kratos and Atreus taking on a troll on breaking ice. It was too good to be true, but 2018 still feels alright to me. The same shit happens in Ragnarok but this time Kratos knew he'd have hell to pay. Retards whining about him wanting to be better are faggots who lose it over walking in a game where you travel the fucking world. The first time Kratos says "be better" is when his boy fucks up killing a deer in 2018 and then it's said maybe 3 or 4 times max by the end of Ragnarok, with the last time being when Atreus says it as a callback/joke to remind Kratos of how he busted his balls at the beginning of their journey. I'm sure some are trolling but this phrase truly doesn't make or break the game. Wanting to be different after destroying your homeland and killing asshole gods (albeit who deserved it) and just trying to fuck off from everything was a logical choice for Kratos besides killing himself. There is no Gow of War without Kratos. It's too late now and that's how it played out. I know the original guy didn't even plan on a sequel really. A whole other pantheon may have been kind of cool, but the character of Kratos was too badass (the original VA being a big part) and was lighting in a bottle.
