Well if they continue the frontiers formula a high speed action game, like an open world sonic unleashed day mission with devil may cry sprinkled in for combat, if it were up to me there'd be less auto combos and you'd have to manually input stuff like Bayonetta to do all the cool moves, but if they did that they'd probably have an auto combo option so the braindeads can play too, I personally loved frontiers but know how much better it could possibly be, and this idea in my head feels like it could be amazing if they did it right. sorry for autistically ranting I just really like sonic.
>>718634379 >surely Sonic Team isn't THAT dumb that nobody there knows how to program a pet simulator
Lost technology, the arcane Black Magic. Have you seen what a gigantic clusterfuck Sonic Adventure 1/2 are on Steam? You don't even have a way to get the fucking jewel chao without adding mods to it. They probably don't even have the original source code because they're fucking retarded like Square Enix is.

Kishimoto genuinely wanted to get 3D momentum physics figured out, ideally a Frontiers 2 with level structure designed around that and non-copypasta'd side levels would be the hopeful outcome. But Sonic Team has been known to learn the wrong lesson everytime so it just might be more of the same but streamlined too.

Last time Sonic rocked was like 25 years ago, it's a zombie trying to still figure out what the fuck it wants to be. Only a smidgen more merit than Bubsy.

More interesting than the automated rollercoaster slop of the last 5 or so games but still pretty bad. Sandbox games are naturally fun the first 20 minutes or so but without real content it collapses quickly.

I thought the controls sucked, but I guess I was playing on some chinkshit TV with half a second of input lag. Maybe I'll try it again when I'm done with Stellar Blade

forces had better art, but not level design. Most of it was boost2win, even if frontiers copied all its levels at least it took the good ones.
>>718641451
Those copied levels are not good anymore because they don't work well with Frontiers' movement physics. Not to mention how Frontiers ruined their art and spectacle.

Itβs like they gave up pretending, lmao. Between the VA leaks, concept art, and that one dev's LinkedIn update, Shadow Gens might as well have a trailer already. Just waiting on SEGA to finally make it official at some random stream 3 months from now.
GIVE ME A GAME WHERE I JUST SMASH THROUGH COUNTLESS HORDES OF INFERIOR EGG-TECH JOBBERS ON MY WAY TO KILL EVEN MORE INFERIOR EGG-TECH JOBBERS THAT ARE BIGGER

SEGA leakin' like a sieve lately lmao. First CrossWorlds, then the Shadow Gens stuff, and now people are digging up prototype builds from QA branches again. Itβs like theyβre daring the internet to spoil everything three months early. At this point, their marketing plan must just be βwait for someone to datamine it and pretend it was a teaser.β
