lol this is getting cancelled isn't it? Microsoft might have been scammed enough to give them a little more time, but this will fall on the chopping block again. Too much homogenization and incompetency going around. They literally can't make anything anymore. The bureaucracies are just too big and too stupid and too self-serving.

Games getting out at all seems like a rarity even with the long development time. It's better to just release a mid game to just get your name out there and hope to do better on the next game. Not good for the players but more for the employees resume.

We hit a AAA peak where the devs got flooded with DEI and women who have zero interest in games, and then everyone tries to grift the system as much as possible rather than finish a game. Then bad management. The beast just got too big, with too many people, and no one from top to bottom has any passion or gives a shit. Gamers can also tell if someone cares and it's obvious these are paint by numbers games at most.

There is an element of that. Everyone gets laid off after the game is shipped, and everyone knows it, so they have zero actual incentive to actually finish the game. The game could be a giant turd, but it won't matter.

Aparently a lot of it is just management and pre-planning where they design, remake, and restart all over again in an endless cycle.

Uh, anon? Sony has been pissing money away on projects like Concord if you haven't been paying attention. Concord has the same issues as the MS games and they only dumped more money on it because they thought it was gonna be a hit. Concord likely acted as a wakeup call for MS and other studios, showing that it doesn't pay to dump hundreds of millions more on these development hell projects, and it's better to just accept the losses and move on.

All hints are that Fairgames is cancelled. I would strongly suspect Fable is never released. The only chance it gets released is that it's so far along development it's basically done so something gets released.

They drop the turd, pull up their pants and move on with the hope it doesn't happen again.

if they have learned a lot, apply it to the game that's still a year away. but then again its microsoft, they have probably already given playground another 500 million to do nothing for another 8 years.

Two of PS5's top fifteen best selling games are from xbox studios, seven of them aren't made by sony and those sales and the amount of top selling games pale in comparison to the PS4.
Its basically nintendo vs whoever has a normal console that can play modern games. Microsoft did jack shit, besides backwards compatibility, for two generations to make their console stand out and actively raped their flagship IPs like gears and halo. Sony basically benefited from inertia from microsoft committing suicide with the launch of the xbone and microsoft just kept doing everything in their power to make sure they never recovered from it. Actually the bone sold pretty well early on based on the excitement of the halo collection and other exclusives that were coming but we all know how that turned out.

It's a clear shift from hardware focus to software. Microsoft doesn't need to make consoles because they already make PCs. Their hardware was shit anyway. The autosleep function doesn't work when they send an update and forces you to press a button. I ended up leaving my xbone accidentally on for a week and it bricked itself. Never bought any other xbox product after that and never looked back.

Is fable3 the only game where you could have sex with and marry other players? I never got to do it because I was a weirdo and everyone who joined my world avoided it. I wonder if it's possible do it with another account and multi box
