People often make the same mistake when it comes to percent to hit. What most people think and want is hitting 99% of the time that if you miss once, that option to miss is removed and the next attack is guaranteed to hit before it resets to 99% chance to hit with 1% to miss. What most systems use is a roulette system where it doesn't remove the chance to miss once it is hit. The chance to miss is still in place and though very unlikely because of the small window to hit miss, it still has a same chance value to be hit like any other option even if there is 99 other options where you have the chance to hit more. It might seem like a small chance to miss but it isn't impossible to land on it.

Every time I miss a 95+% chance to hit in a game I punch myself in the balls. It's either pain or anger, and pain doesn't last half as long as the anger would if I let it fester.

You usually get access to it early, and it usually has better stats than other weapons at that level, it's a gamble weapon you are meant to use at your own risk, I usually simply sell it, the risk is not worth the extra damage, specially not in a perma-death game like Fire Emblem

This can happen and makes sense becaues shotguns dont work like in metal slug they are compact and all together for a few feet. This happens to a few people in the bf6 beta and they were wondering why the shotgun didnt land even though they got their crosshair over the entire body (it comes the gun not the eyes in bf6)

It's undefined. Here's an attempt at an intuitive 4 year old explanation.

The way it's phrased (i.e. the order you put the signs in) you probably want it to be "infinity", because you're probably thinking of it as "2 - 2 + 2", which is obviously 2. But, let's accept that infinity plus infinity is still infinity - which seems pretty clear, even to a 4 year old. Now try rearranging it to "(infinity plus infinity) minus infinity" which gives "infinity minus infinity" - and now you probably feel like it should be zero.

The fact that you can arbitrarily rearrange the equation to feel like different answers are appropriate should help you understand why the answer is actually undefined.
