I wishlist a lot of promising games but I hate how everything releases unfinished. I wait a few years to play new releases because of some autism about wanting the optimal experience for a first playthrough

Yes. While Crimson Desert is all hands on deck, they left a dev crew of about 50 continuing to work on DokeV all these years. So as soon as CD is done, they will shift all the devs onto DokeV, and it will be finished 1 year to 1 1/2 years after. The map is even bigger than Crimson Desert according to the CEO, but in order to release it in a more timely manner, they cut the main story content to ~25 hours. It's still primarily single player, but they will instead stagger updates, adding more to the story and dokkaebi creatures. This was said in their 2024 financial report meeting Q&A.

Resetera, I know. But it has a translation of the Q&A that will give you all the details. They shared a lot of information. Just ctrl+f DokeV and you'll get all the details. Crimson Desert itself also looks to be pretty ambitious, but their demos really don't show shit, so it's hard to know if they were just lying or ran into dev problems, or they're just trying not to spoil too much of the game...
