Gameplay being bad or good is entirely subjective. Unlike writing, characters or plot, you cannot judge gameplay in an objective way. Therefore there's no such thing as good gameplay or bad gameplay. Only gameplay, and the only thing that can judge it is the individual. That's why even a game like Pong can be fun for some and monotone for others.

No, I think there are times when you can objectively judge it. Like when you notice the devs tried to do something but failed to execute it. Or maybe a certain mechanic makes the game too easy when exploited. Things like that
