No, frankly the game idea is doomed from the start and the world and characters are shamefully wasted on a doomed project.
It's bad at being a MOBA, it's bad at being a shooter. It's not like Smite that understood that it wanted to be a MOBA first and foremost so it just accepted that it's a MOBA with a twist.
Deadlock doesn't know what the fuck it's trying to be, it's just a shooter with all the worst aspects of a MOBA and none of the good aspects of a shooter.

Hadn't really thought of that, but I think you might be right, it is Valve after all and even if they kinda suck at making games now then they're definitely still one of the few devs around that actively support and encourage community content in their games.
Hell, their biggest multiplayer IPs were born from hiring people who saw flaws in a popular shooter game at the time and thought they could do better.
