MGS Delta 10/10 tsunami incoming
I’m friends/associates with someone at one of the big review websites that I guarantee most of you have heard of. Anyhow, I hung out with him tonight and sometimes he tells me about stuff he’s working on. Of course, I keep my mouth shut since he is bound by NDA and tells me some of this stuff in confidence. He seemed particularly chipper today and he told me he just beat their review copy or MGS Delta the other day. He said it’s all he’s been able to think about despite having originally beat it back on the PS2. He said it’s one of the best games he’s ever played and also one of the best remakes.
I asked him what score he’s going to give it and he said with no hesitation it’s a “perfect game!” Apparently he’s not the only one who feels that way. He’s on a discord with some other pro reviewers, a few at other fairly well known game sites and YouTube channels, and they’re pretty much all on the exact same page. This game is going to set the MGS bar higher than it’s ever been and put Konami back on the map from what he was saying. He does think it may be held back by it being part of a somewhat niche genre, but he seemed confident people are going to go nuts for the game once the review embargo is lifted. He got me hyped for next week, that’s for sure! Just thought I’d share the good news.
