My issue with worlds like this and AGOT are the scale. It's presented like it's supposed to be most of the Known world and larger than the Americas + Eurasia but it always ends up feeling as small as Europe + Smaller Europe + Aus land in the south.

Chivalry 1/2 but that shit the bed already and the only active mod there is also now allowing cheating and hacking rather than doing anything about it.
> Agatha: King, God and Country WASP/Jews/Catholic factions. "The Good Guys" of the First Game.
> Masons: Populist Germans/Scandinavians who say no to long wars and taxations that strangle people's livelihoods. "The Bad Guys" of the First Game.
> Tenosia: Heathens of the sand tribes basically Persians who love the sciences and arts and weird throat shrieking. New faction to add more appeal to arabs.
Pretty much OP world map related.

The upper right corner never made sense to me. I assume that's Turkey/Middle East in general, but towelheads hever invaded in hordes or tried to destroy civilisation. Ural Mountains make a bit more sense, but mongols haven't been trying to conquer the world for almost a milenium either. 2/10

>Fantasy country with rolling hills and generic Fantasy towns with names like "Oldham" and "Stokington" that is obviously Great Britain
>Fantasy country with fancy architecture and NPCs with names like "Franck de Louvert" that is obviously France
>Fantasy snowy country that is obviously Imperial Russia
>Fantasy Asian country with the obligatory Muslim-esque nation and the one nation with pagodas and NPCs wearing yutakas that is obviously Japan
Why the fuck are Fantasy authors like this, why not just make historical fiction if you want to make a world so heavily inspired by real life?
Warhammer is the fucking worst example of this.

If you're trying to tell a story there's no value in things being different just for the sake of things being different. Thin allegory isn't very creative but it saves time for both the creator, so he doesn't have to invent so much fake history, and for people engaging with the work, not having to spend so much time understanding who's who and what's what.

The protagonist land usually isn't a separate continent from the antagonist land. Usually, there's a big mountain range that separates the fertile "Empire" from the barren "Dark Wastes".
