I've just begun the game and it is decent so far. Lots of onboarding nonsense, and the character creator sucks, but the shooting is fun.

I think it's more of an RPG than most games claim to be. At least there's some real progression in the skills and let you do really cool stuff by the end of the game unlike the boring shit you get in Bethesda's ""RPGs"" where your character doesn't even have any real progression at all.

Technically is an RPG and in a good way where your character progress is noticeable. Especially when you play at harder difficulties. At begining you have to be careful with actions, take down enemies with tactic and avoid unnecessary conflict but when you get chromed, get more talents and skills, your battles will be easier, situations that used to be too dangerous now are dealt with easily etc.

I can only imagine how good this game would've been if it had dedicated and extremely varied levels that leveraged your upgrades for sandbox style problem solving a la immersive Sims. Nah, I don't care about that, it should have been a pure action game with more exotic guns and tools than what we got. Maps should have been larger and designed around movement or stealth abd some actually good dnemy design not these rinky dink little gigs where you fight 6 guys in a room.

Though I was sad that I couldn't make my OWN character in the world instead of V, with more customization for my origin, it was still a pretty good game with a decent amount of RP, fun gameplay and a damn good movie.

As soon as they removed third-person and went for cheap first-person instead you knew it was over.
