No, they turned her inhuman because Disney didn't have the movie rights for mutants so they turned multiple characters inhumans. The Maximoffs aren't mutants anymore either and Magneto isn't their dad anymore.

They revealed the MCU version to be a mutant (they got the film rights back) then concurrently in the comics there was some contrived explanation about how she was also a mutant all along, forgot the details

Wait, when did this happen? I stopped reading X-men around the time Perlmutter was brute forcing the hinhumans and turning Scott into worse-than-hitler.

Around that time, 2015 or so. They were orignally supposed to be Inhumans, but when the series bombed they scrubbed most mention of them and now her and her brother are experiments from the High Evolutionary. Them not being Magneto's kids is still canon at least (so far)

Yes. Right now they're playing with the idea of Wanda being just born from Chaos or some shit, but they are still explicitly not mutants and inhumans anymore.

Functionally? Nothing.
In universe it's that one is humans that got fucked with by super space people for the lulz and the other is humans with a special gene.

Yeah, I remember that-wasn't it some mess during the Trial of Magneto arc? They did a half-assed retcon where Wanda gets called the "Great Pretender" but then later she's kinda-sorta redeemed and they scribble in some multiverse explanation about her "true nature" being misunderstood. Basically Marvel trying to play both sides and keep the synergy with the MCU without pissing off comic fans too hard.
