I played the sequel for a bit and I found it pretty fun, if a bit dated.
People seem to be shitting on it because it has no vertical progression, therefore they think it's pointless to play it, but weirdly enough I like that the most in it. I'm so done with the loot threadmill garbage so this is a nice breath of fresh air. I like to explore for exploration's sake and unlock cool side features that may not matter in terms of getting stronger, but as I said I'm done with endless loot threadmills so...
Have only tried a couple of classes, guardian and necromancer, but they seem fine.

I like those things too but after I finished exploring main maps and played first dlc the combat got too boring, the story is shit and the new maps were less interesting to me and they didn't have jumping puzzles anymore and the achievements are grindy as fuck so I stopped playing

No subscription fee was one of the major selling points

No subscription played a part for sure, I had a guild with my class and we all played until people started asking their parents to pay for a WoW sub. But regardless it was a good game, build variety was fun, the game was challenging enough and encouraged people to group up and it was an innovative experience for the time. I remember discussing builds in class and making plans for getting 3 swords in missions, our next attempt at DoA and climbing HA.
GW2 felt like a lacking WoW clone, it had none of the design philosophy that GW1 had other than having very accessible BiS.

do you think she can cast a spell that induces permanent rigor mortis in the penis?

Yes but she would also make it so you are unable to cum until she wants you to.

>Aside from causing intense pain, the venom of the spider can also cause priapism in humans. Erections resulting from the bite are uncomfortable, can last for many hours and can lead to impotence. A component of the venom, Tx2-6, is being studied for use in erectile dysfunction treatments.[20][3]

Made by devs who openly bragged about never having played the first game.

>why didn't they like the sequel?
Because it shits on GW1's story.
