I like to attend Nintendo Directs and other game shows from there and watch the /v/ live chat go crazy with the emojis.
I went to take a nap shortly before the show started because I didn't think anything interesting was going to be shown off. I literally thought that they were just going to show more information on upcoming games that we already knew about.

The part about jump-dive-cancel is particularly true and why the movement along with the camera's tracking looks too jittery/finicky to me. It's like an over correction to Mario's dive that's turned into an infectiously overused mechanic in platformers to where the games that use it become some pseudo-character action, as if devs are too scared to have players commit to a goddamn jump. Guessing AHiT started this trend and then Odyssey signal boosted it with Cappy bouncing, but at least with that he was utilized well mechanically and immersively. Jump canceling in a platformer just looks retarded and glitchy.

Also doesn't help that if you've played Fabraz's new game this'll feel weirdly light and floaty with limp and arguably unfinished animations. Just imagine an even more weightless Mario Galaxy.
