Elden Ring runs at 60FPS on my PS5 in Performance Mode. When I die it takes 3 seconds to respawn, when I fast travel it takes 8 seconds. The only time the game "hitches" is when is the open world transitions from areas where it shamefully drops to 58FPS for 2 seconds; which is a tragedy for neurodivergent Resetera and Redditors. The Steam User Hardware Surveys have 50% PCs audience with PCMR specs inferior to the PS5 specs by the way. I don't know where the hot takes about Elden Ring come from, Series Shitter S and third worlder PCs?
The biggest issue with Elden Ring on any platform is the way it handles vegetation LODs during streaming assets and fast travel, you will always see various pop in depending on how fast you travel. You could play Elden Ring PS4 in backwards compatiblity mode on PS5 for the absolute firm 60FPS, but you would give up the higher graphical quality presets like grass/trees/ground textures.
Despite having better spec than Shitbox Series S, FromSoftware can't deliver this on Switch 2.

PS5 Pro > Series X > PS5 > Switch 2 > Xbox One X > PS4 Pro > PS4 > Xbox One. That's the raw computational power, the Switch 2 is above the rest because of its RAM pool, flash memory, and access to DLSS. PS4 Pro and Xbox One X are chained to 5400RPM hard drives, that alone frees up streaming bandwidth issues for current gen ports to the Switch 2. The reason Xbox console doesn't overwhelmingly perform better than PS5 is because developers have a limited budget and time to produce games, Xbox fags don't buy games and they have the lowest userbase which limits the polish Series X would get. Publishers have no incentive to make Series X look and perform the best, that's the end all be all.
