I think that it proves how important a marketable mascot is. Once a character like this is created it basically becomes unkillable.

Something I liked about that Sparkster game from like 2009 was that the time between it and the most recent Sparkster game had passed in real time and in that time Sparkster got married and had a son. Something about that makes me smile.
