I liked it, Raidou is my new favorite SMT protagonist.
Not worth $50, more like $30. But if I buy it, Atlus might make Persona 6 faster.

Yes, Raidou has a really cool setting and is worth playing through. That said, personally I think 2 is a much better game.

I'm not disagreeing with you but I feel I should point out the original game uses both the Imperial Naval Flag and the regular Japanese Flag, the remake just uses the latter. It's not an anachronistic thing, just the Naval flag is censored because Korea gets mad.

It was entertaining, I always like the concept and setting of Raidou more than the actual gamez, the gameplay isnt anything amazing despite the revamp

Its so bland and joyless, I have massive buyers remorse.

Gameplay is a major improvement and the graphics are okay but the story rewrites here and there are janky at best even if it makes sense why some things needed to be changed, like the "very important person" inflicted with the curse being some random OC god instead of heavily implying that it was the Emperor. If it's on sale for enough of a discount, buy it. The gameplay improvements and brand new 3D environments are good enough to justify dropping 20-30 dollars to show some support if you want to see Raidou 2 get a remaster, but I wouldn't blame you if you just pirated it to see what all the hubbub was about.

However despite how much I personally enjoyed the game the fact they didn't add Dormarth is fucking horseshit and I'm really mad about it, they added a bunch of SMTV demons and the novel she was introduced in was a prequel to the first game so there's really no excuse. What a fucking pity.

There are dumb as fuck story rewrites.
Red tint everywhere for some reason.
The worst part is that it's still just a mediocre quality at best remake despite its appearance.
