Most people didn't register the usual "gacha game at launch" honeymoon period because the initial product seemed so high quality and targeted such a specific niche as a dressup collectathon. It came crashing down all at once when they expedited the multiplayer update to coincide with the color dye update, simultaneously breaking the game while monetizing the fuck out the new systems. This is on top of replacing the high quality intro sequence with the shitty co-op tutorial full of retcons, ruining the new player experience just as it launched on Steam. That was only weeks ago for me. I was completely oblivious about them up to that point.
