I played FH1 for the first time a few months back on my 360 and it's insane how much more soulful it was than the current games
each successive Horizon game just butchered the atmosphere a little bit more until you hit 4 and it's just gone entirely

in H1 the progression was still somewhat present. I remember saving credits for a Diablo then I figured out I could sell skins to other players and broke the entire progression from that point on

dubstep still makes a wave in edm at least like every other year and in general the skrillex sound is dominant for anyone making bass music still. skrillex really loves music and bass synths and is constantly trying to push his own particular envelope in a way that keeps dubstep in the mainstream

I didn't. The dubstep/electro era was the absolute peak of bass-sound design in EDM and only old ahh boomers ever hated it because "loud bad" unless it's some crackhead screaming and growling into the mic for some shitty dadrock metal.
