All three of them are. SC2 is fast paced and with a heavy micro focus, WC3 is a bit slower and uses lower number of units and heroes with special abilities, and AOE2 is a larger scale game with mixed micro and macro but leaning a bit more towards eco. If you like RTS there's a big chance one of these games is your favorite.

SC1 (BW) mogs SC2 so hard it isn't even funny. If limited to just these three AOE2 is unironically the best.

brood war is an amazing game and starcraft 2 might just have the worst story in video game history, but SC2's campaign is still way better than SC1's (as long as you skip every cutscene)

Cataclysm is my second favorite RTS of all time, although I have respect for those that prefer the original. 2 was mid, and I'm debating trying 3 as it's part of a humble bundle, but it looks so fucking bad.

Love me sum RTS of any kind, but BAR is actually mad good

Too much focus on the lame farm. When you don't pay up and get sent to the slave brothel later, it's ez to get out. What if you feel like getting sent to a slave brothel and having to escape instead in the new run? It should be optional or have a perk that randomizes brothel/farm and there's already 3 other ways to end in the farm, you walk wrong and there's the farm again but I already did it.
