In other DaS games "hitting you through walls" is DSPshit, like you are keeping line of sight with them and trying to cheese but they hit you. Thats also ignoring that Das2 has the "lazy suzan" bullshit where if someone winds up a strike and you dodge, they will do a 180 mid-swing and merc you.
That changes the entire timing, it fucks with your brain's understanding of common physics, it is inconsistent with the rest of the series and it comes off insanely cheap.
DaS2 had its chance with the lighting mechanic, then they fucked it up by bitching out and went with absurd shit instead. DaS wasnt perfect, but it was better than 2.
