I'd much rather have 6 - 8 well designed and memorable bosses than 40 forgettable ones

See I'm a Randian Egoist and I am pleased as punch when devs take a me centric approach to development. I'm glad they had fun, and them continuing to have fun is what is guaranteeing great DLC to n the future.

They had to milk the first game as much as possible first

It started as a DLC but has been made expressly clear that it scope-creeped beyond that.

Backers of the original Kickstarter are still entitled to it for free.

Or maybe they wanted to polish and kept adding more content like Concerned Ape did with Stardew

>They had people believing this game was stuffed to the gills with content
>It's marginally bigger than HK
Scam, false advertising through and through

I did not even like HK bosses besides a few exceptions. But I guess they gotta please the mentally ill soulsborne girls with another autism gauntlet .

what the actual fuck, going off the steam achievements alone most of the playerbase hasn't even beaten a few bosses what the fuck kind of hype is this? Is this bots? Is FOMO not even playing the game anymore? I don't understand.

Most of the fanbase only ever watched the game be played on Youtube, only ever heard their Discord friends say it was good. They watched Game Theory and Mossbag lore videos while they ate and watched speedruns from their favorite streamer.
It's THE modern indie game, no one plays it but it just continues to proliferate through cultural homeopathy.

Of course they had the chance to procrastinate and spread 1 year of work into 7 since their meme game allowed them to have all the time in the world to "have fun" with the infinite financial support that they gathered and never had the intention to use for expanding their studios and workforce.
