Undertale has Flowey and Chara as villain
Asriel is less a villain and more just a final boss and victim of Chara's crazy plan
Flowey is straight up evil as he gave up on trying and doesn't feel anything so he ends up being cruel and twisted
Chara as well was always only plotting ways to gain more power
First you woke her up when you started leveling up then she makes you give her your soul and then tells you to do true pacifist in order for her to use Frisk as a vessel and go to the surface where she can genocide a whole new world (souless true pacifist)

If we're measuring based on evil then William absolutely wins. Textbook psychopath, manipulates his children to make them do his bidding, drives a friend to total bankruptcy and plunders his business. Kills 5 children just to hurt his best friend's business and when that fails kills the man's daughter. Feels nothing when his own children die and even sends one to his death. Later he desecrates the robotic graves of the children he murdered for material only to die and become a zombie. Even in his last moments in FFPS he has no reflection, he's arrogant and trying to kill his only surviving son.

It's partially scott's fault since he is just one big troll who would look up theories then do everything in his powers to make sure they were WRONG because he makes the lore as it goes and he wants to ALWAYS throw curve balls

I really thing only the first game was good. But I don't hate scott or anything, I'm glad he was able to succeed. But these games peaked early.

I think Scott wanted to stop making FNaF after 3, then basically said no after 4 and World (that was the basic point of his role in World actually). But he knew no future games would really get noticed again, so he helped make the Silver Eyes trilogy and Sister Location with sci-fi similar to Desolate Room/Hope as a way of making a type of game that he liked while also making one that the fans wouldn't bug him about. And after that it spiralled out of control

I don't think Scott was so much a contrarian as more a perfectionist. He basically made new games because he wasn't satisfied with some minor detail in the previous one (FNaF 4 exists because he didn't like Springtrap's jumpscare for instance). Him changing the Box four times isn't so much about trolling as it is both wanting to distance himself from Dream Theory and the controversy around that as well as wanting to fit it best he can in the changing lore.

That being said, while I respect Scott I do not respect anything after UCN. The books are fucking awful and Steel Wool's games are meh at best and shouldn't be in FNaF.

Hello Neighbor is seriously desperate to become another fucking Indie piece of trash overexpanding saga like Bendy or Poppy. They've pumped out so many shit games, none of them even come close to the original HN alphas/betas, and nobody plays them so they basically had to spam MatPat to analyze a shitty cartoon they'd made only for him to make a meme video and then tell them to fuck off, and that's how the franchise is pretty much dead nowadays

It's almost sad how many developers have wasted their careers trying to chase the Fnaf dragon.
Almost a decade later and what do any of those games have to show for themselves? Who really cares about Hello Neighbor? Does anyone itt know a new Bendy game released 2 weeks ago? Is Poppy Playtime 5 on your radar? All of them are trying to be Fnaf, they pump out at many games as possible, try to capture the atmosphere, force in the lore and sign up for movie deals, but no one cares.

Well, that's the thing. FNaF was not only genuine, it didn't have the shitty chapter dynamic made to scam people, nor was Scott trying to cash in, he just likes making games. Hello Neighbor started similarly with the alphas but clearly the dev team saw the reaction and went for the money. Bendy was good for the first two chapters (when Meatly had control of the project and wasn't just the spokesman) until Mike Mood got control of the project, then the rest of the original game was a mess, Dark Revival was a sloppy Bioshock clone with ridiculous lore and every other release has been a non-game "experience" or basically Pac-Man. Poppy was from day one a cashgrab, it had NFTs and a fucking Amongus-esque coop game made right after the release of the second chapter, then the devs tried to make it "dark & griddy" to appeal to teens but it failed and now the game is deader than dirt.

I hope mascot games die. We need honest passionate people in the community and not a bunch of con artists trying to make a quick buck

Secret of the mimic was very good, honestly.

Kinda redeemed Steel Wool in my eyes. The game has an excellent setting, and great set pieces and heart. I was surprised by the number of moments that stuck with me.

Id still say I'm ready to move on from their "era" of games and get something new, but one more game from them wouldn't hurt to wrap up this arc
