Flashback Man was in the first half and ignored/retconned a couple chapters later. Face it, JoJolion was always bad. The start was promising, Josuk8 had potential with his turbo autism but it all went to shit. Josefumi and Yoshikage were immensely better protags, the story should have just been those two with Kei getting a cure. Instead we have a meandering mess about a shitbag family that isn't satisfying whatsoever. What makes it worse is that 8 attracts all the pseuds and the convince themselves and others that its a masterpiece.

Jojolion really dropped the ball during the final chapters. The doctor stand was interesting but the main villain was awful. It was like Diavolo if diavolo was even lamer.

I can't think of many games that completely torpedo like JoJolion does. All the ones I can think of just decline and go out with a bang or at worst a shit final boss.

Ok now that you reminded me just how bad it was especially the part about his over all design and killing off majority of the cast in span of couple of chapters after they had not been in the story since forever, I think I was bit too mean to Diavolo. At least he was constant threat even if you didn't see him and actually fit into the story.

It's kinda funny to have a mystery plot and never resolve the mystery.

Yeah. Even though Diavolo bumbles his way through the entire part (seriously, everything he does is immediately followed up with some kind of fuck up that helps the gang), he was built up very early on, the first half is delivering his daughter and then the second half is bringing him down. The one thing JJL does better is that JoJo actually interacts with his final villain whereas Giorno does nothing with Diavolo. Imagine if he was the guy Giorno saved as a kid?

My favorite thing that Araki forgot is not being able to remember Marco's name when he killed him offpage in part 7

It pretty much is just mysteries upon mysteries with hooks and threads thrown all over the place. Araki was never too consistent but JoJolion was him trying to make a full blown mystery and it doesn't work at all. Its like every chapter raises a new question and most of the time never gets an answer.

I quite like the start of SBR, something about it just clicks with me. Its the second sixth or so which really drags but the Mandom fight is when it picks up and doesn't stop. Or the Mountain Tim and Lucy stuff, whichever comes first.
