There are tons of articles out there ranting about how gaming is at an all-time low with newer and newer generations avoiding the hobby entirely.

These studios have tens of thousands of staff, and very deep coffers. And for example Ubisoft has let go of something like 5000 employees by now.
There used to be ALOT more big studios, all falling one by one.
Only publisher built to survive this is EA who are very profit oriented and thus only really care about EA Sports.
