How do I get good at bust a groove? I don't know if im supposed to be just inputting the combo or only pressing the buttons time with the green flash. The timing can feel confusing and I don't know if its emulation fuckery at play

You have to put in the directions before the flash. You press the button when it's on the green flash. You can count to 4 and that'll let you time it while you input the combo

I forgot that it even flashes green and that there's red, but I made this picture to explain it a bit better.

Basically you have to make sure to complete the directional arrow instructions before it flashes red, which is always on the 4th beat/count. It doesn't matter if you input the arrows while it's flashing green or not, that's just helping you keep the beat to count along with
