Well out of those that I've played and if we are starting from the bottom: [
spoiler]Hollow Knight[/spoiler] would be the worst. If it was the only one then sure it would have some merits but it doesn't do anything interesting when compared to others.

I know that my favorite is Rabi-Ribi. Is it the best objectively? No, I agree with the consensus that Super Metroid is probably the objective best. I'd argue that Aria is the best of the 'Vanias, though.
But outside the two big series and RR, I'd say my favorites are La Mulana, Steamworld Dig 2, Ender Lilies, Ender Magnolia, Bloodstained, Monster Sanctuary (I didn't even consider it one until I saw that chick's list, it does mark a lot of boxes), Blasphemous, Guacamelee 1/2, and Axiom Verge. More or less in that order.
I've played more of them, those are just the ones I remember enjoying enough to bring up right now.
