4chan is fun because it's novel. Its broadly consistent politics and terms are one of the things that make it boring. The average /pol/ user should be banned not because of his politics, but because he's made the same thread 15 times. You can have whatever politics you like so long as you're making a novel point.
/leftypol/ was good a long time ago because it had so many random leftist ideologies fighting each other, plus right-wing raids, that it was a constant stream of novelty, it generated unspeakable amounts of OC for all sorts of bizarre topics and situations. Then one of the admins banned everyone who disagreed with them because they thought they were doing serious politics rather than just shitposting, and the board never really recovered - it's still going, but like /pol/ it's the same boring shit over and over and over.
The first rule of any imageboard should be that you can do whatever you want so long as it's not tedious.
