Here's my guys from the previous thread, we went 15/20.

Nothing amazing here, not an S medium on either of them but after racing a bunch of randoms online and seeing Oguri Caps everywhere, learning which acceleration abilities were strong here I bred those into my plan. Was initially running Front Runners but I couldn't get it to work, although I did race an "anon" earlier who beat me with the Urara cheese strat. So far today the people in the first round were nothing compared to the open rooms of tricked out A+ Oguri Caps. Not even S Medium will hurt for the next round, so I have to keep trying to make better ones. My deck is nothing amazing, just a decent amount of experimenting and trial and error. These guys were all pretty last minute, I made them in the past two days, so I'm very pleased with these results.

Try and inherit any combination of maruzensky's, Taiki Shuttles, and Oguri Cap's. If you dont have one borrow what you're missing and then that grandparent will pass down the ability on random inspirations. Something about how those acceleration abilities work is really good for this particular map, an anon tried to explain it the other day but it activates right around the final corner and important in the final stretch. Try to get speed up to 1.1K but as you can see with these guys, >>718733302 nobody has 1200 speed and we won a lot. Oh and don't try and run a front runner unless you're running two + an urara. I don't think late surgers do particularly well on this map either as I haven't seen a single one win. It's all pace-chasers with end closers in the final stretch, so try and build a good one of those and a debuffer. That's the most well rounded build you can make for this one. Once I stopped trying to go front runner it got a lot easier.

Front Runners apparently get better as more umas get added to the game, like Seiun Sky's ability is apparently really good. But yeah, way he explained it is each track has certain abilities that are going to kick in at certain spots, so you'll have to change up your strategy for each champions meeting. I learned most of this just from playing random people online over and over and watching who was winning and what abilities they were using. Oguri Caps with Gourmand, Maruzensky/Taiki Shuttle abilities + Swinging Maestro, Curvature, and abilities that increase velocity in the final stretch. There's some other good ones to run but yeah, with those you can't really go wrong for this race.

This is actually very solid and could compete at a higher level. You're not missing any speed you're missing acceleration, if you have two goldships at 1200 speed, a 600 power goldship with red shift and shooting for victory will beat a goldship with 1100 power

Probably yeah. But what's more of a problem is end closers really, really like power, since that's your acceleration and that's what they spend most of their time doing. That stamina would be good for a long race, but it's overkill with two gold healing abilities. You dont need much more than 900 + swinging maestro, try and run more power. It was tricky, I had to run 3 speed, borrow MLB special creek, and two strong power cards. That gave me 950ish across the board speed/stamina/power for my golshi. The extra power really helps. With end closers they're the least stamina hungry of all of them, so try and get the speed power as high as it will go, while still not being a total staminalet. Dont go under 800, but if you have swinging maestro it should be fine. Aim for 900+

First bracket so far is completely doable so long as you build smart. I'm guessing tomorrow it's going to a bit tougher. You're gonna see a lot of Oguri Caps with S in medium and 1200 speed, 1000 stamina, Maestro and Gourmand, and 900+ power plus all the strongest acceleration abilities for the final corner, and all the strongest speed abilities for the final stretch. It's gonna be hard beating those unless you made the perfect one. There's lots of really strong Golshis out there as well, even some cracked Taishins as end closers.

Keep repeating myself but Oguri's, Maruzenskys, and Taiki Shuttles are all really good for this one too, good on both pace chasers and end closers, but I could see Ryans being particularly good on end closers. That acceleration is everything. Unfortunately even running 5 speed cards on my golshi I had a hard time getting her speed up. For Stamina you really only need to borrow Super Creek to get her near 900 or so. 10 1st place wins today for Golshi alone. I thought the speed would be an issue but nahh not so far. Gonna try and make a better one though

I think you need two of them, and urara hanging way far in the back fucks up a few abilities which would normally activate for the pace chasers on the final corner, allowing your front runners to keep the lead. One front runner running by themselves tends to struggle, when you have two they can kind of play off each other and accelerate even further ahead from what I understand. The urara in the far back is key to the strategy though, it's a cheesy strategy and you're probably just better off running a strong pace chaser/endcloser/debuffer type build.

For any anons who have no idea what to run just inherit any of these from whatever parents you can, use uma.moe if you need to find more parents to follow.

Particularly Maru's and Oguri's are really strong around the final corner, Taiki's too. They're all really good though. Then you definitely want professor of curvature and swinging maestro. The mixture of two good uniques plus those other two go a LONG way, regardless of stats or medium aptitude. They will help you break through in the final corner and hold on the last stretch. I also like homestretch haste for the final stretch but just go look at some abilities tier lists if you want some ideas, and dont waste your cash until the end of the run when your discounts are in effect unless you really think you need them for a particular race in your career.

Obviously don't sleep on the green abilities like Firm, Spring Runner, Tokyo track, sunny days, and standard distance. Pick those up when you can. Try and have at least person run lone wolf to cancel out the other lone wolfs. That should have you covered so long as your stats meet a "decent" threshold, they dont need to be busted. The good abilities will help push you over the edge.

Also yeah, pace chasers and end closers. Do NOT try and run a front runner unless you know what you're doing. This is why the pace chaser + golshi + debuffer combo is so strong. You can't go wrong with that. In the races where my end closer doesnt win, my pace chaser wins. The debuffer does a lot more work than you think, have them target pace chasers as those skills are easy to inherit and get that wit as high as possible for the debuffer. Doesnt need to be an A uma or win, just debuff.

Even R cards can be good bro. It's not the deck, it's your attitude! You have to keep trying and wish for the right string of rainbows and inspirations, you can do it. If one deck doesn't work keep trying different shit, dont get discouraged. Next time you get some more carats consider rolling a LOT of support cards, it will fill you out nicely and make things easier even if you don't get any busted ones. SR cards will carry you and after a certain amount of rolls you'll have most of the "good" ones.

I know it's the expected meta, but it's pretty sad to see nothing but Oguri/Golshi/Nature teams. I was hoping to see something creative once in a while.

1. There's not many end closers in the game, Golshi makes the most sense.
2. I've seen plenty of other Pace Chasers from Special Week to Tachyon, Teio's, and even Nice Natures running as full on pace and not debuffers
3. Plenty of other debuffers like Air Groove and Grass Wonder.

If you try to run a late surger, you'll lose. I don't know why, but it's just not very good here. I experimented with lots of things, front runners too. You need a pace chaser/end closer with the right abilities to make sure you win this match. Not having a debuffer is putting yourself at a disadvantage while they debuff you for free. I've seen some people run two debuffers but that's gonna reduce your chance of winning. End closer balances things out when your pace chaser cant win and vice versa. Every map is gonna have its own strategy. Just turns out Oguri is the best fit for this one.

I've done a lot of practice races and I haven't seen a single late charger win, it's all pace chasers and end closers. I dont know why but they just seem better for this map. I had a great Suzuka. Everytime i practiced with her she was getting fucked in the final stretch. Pace Chasers and End Closers just have better abilities and its really hard to run front runners right now. When more front running umas get added to the game, it will get easier for them to sustain the lead.

Oguri has the perfect combination of being a pace chaser and being able to inherit maru and taiki's ability. I've seen some people get Taiki Shuttle from E medium to S through breeding just for this CM. I haven't seen any weird Maru's running as pace but her ability is really good when transferred to a pace chaser. Just really hard to run a front runner without them getting fucked up in the final stretch by end closers and pace chasers, happened every fucking time for me.

If you ran another pace chaser, you would only be able to inherit two of three really good abilities. Oguri has inante triumphant pulse and can inherit Taiki's and Maru's, then she ALSO has innate gourmand which is a busted healing ability. That combined with Swinging Maestro, the usual professor of curvature and there's not a better pace chaser for this event. Oguri is REALLY strong, and she gets an even stronger christmas variant later that is apparently still dominating the meta in japan years and years later.

It’s the power. I heard an anon talking about how with an end closer, acceleration is arguably more important than speed. Ideally id like the speed to be higher, but what sets this one apart is good power, good enough speed, and enough stamina but not too much as to be overkill. Really though its oguri cap and maruzenskys abilities on both that allows them to break ahead on the final corner, would highly recommend. I did a lot of experimenting to see what worked and didnt. The abilities helped get me into competitive spots with the other minmaxers.

I've actually had a ton of fun this Champions Meeting, way more than I thought I would. If I job from here on out that's okay, I never expected to do well in the first place. But I learned a lot and I'll be able to make some stronger team trials horses after this and just chill for a while. CM is fun but exhausting, but it's a good challenge and really rewarding to see the ones you trained so hard actually win

It just seems like Late Surgers have zero chance of winning. I tried to figure out what the deal with late surgers is and why they're missing but they dont seem like they'd be able to hang with the pace chasers and closers. I run my Grass as a late but I don't expect her to win. She always finishes last because she doesnt have enough stamina or speed or uniques to get there. She's just there to spam abilities. I might try and make a stronger one now that I know I dont need so much wit, but it's just hard to imaigne it doing much of anything at all even with better stats. Late surgers dont seem very good. I actually had one game where there was a slight battle for first with a Nice Nature running as pace chaser. We won, but that caught me off guard.

They definitely can win, my Rudolf isn't great and she's still my best and I never run her as pace. That said, part of that is also just because pace isn't great with her skill. If other people are doing pace/late/end, then without a frontrunner and only 2 other paces, she never activates her skill since she needs to pass three.

Taiki/Ryan's unique is pretty much mandatory for any Late/End. They will zoom everyone if they start the corner at 6th position, activate Ryan's, move to 5th, then activate Taiki's. A Maruzensky's can activate too but it's overkill.

You get carats based on your performance. I made a profit since I went 4-1 (40). Spent 30 of that 40, then did another 4-1. Made 20 carats. You can only do 4 runs per day, and you pay for the 4th one which is optional, but if you win your races you'll make a profit or at the very least earn it back if you go 3-2. The doc is written with debuffers in mind. It's providing recommended stamina so you can tank debuffs. At 600, you cant tank shit and you WILL get fucked, you'll see. Reason why Oguri is winning is because her innate ability is perfect for this track, which gives her freedom to inherit two more really good abilities, usually Taiki Shuttle's and Maruzensky's.

If you're running a different pace chaser, you're not going to have all three abilities. Their best bet is to inherit Oguri's + 1 of the other really good ones for this track. That's how my pace chasers have been keeping up.

Oguri also getting an innate Gourmand allows it to have two gold heal skills easily, which means they dont have to stress about stamina as much and can lean more into speed/power.

At the end game, Oguri will be impossible to beat probably, but right now it's still possible to train up another pace that can do well against her or decently. A lot of Oguris are also losing to strong Golshis.

I did a lot of practice races. No late surgers were winning. I saw plenty of other Pace chasers win. I saw plenty of end closers win. Late surgers aren't as good right now. I'm not syaing it's impossible, but you'd really need to max out the stats to ensure your chances. For this particular map, it's pace chasers. The reason why Oguri is good is because of her ability. You can inherit those aiblities on others, but it's cheaper on Oguri since she gets it AND it levels up to 4. It's really, really strong here, that's why she's winning + free gourmand. It just works out for her. If you run Oguri as a different type of style she wont do as well. Front runners are utterly fucked and CANNOT WIN without cheese strats, late surgers seem to be in a similar boat. For this CM it's pace and closers all the way.

Im repeating myeslf over and over again but the abilities are what allowed me to get ahead despite not having maxed out speed. Oguri, Taiki, Maru. Get them as parents however you can and get them on your pace chasers. Not enough stamina WILL fuck you, you dont want to go lower than 900 honestly and that's with Swinging Maestro. Anything over 1,000 stamina is probably overkill for this race. The abilities are really important, those unique ones in particular. Having a good debuffer on your team can also make it much easier for your guys. Target other pace chasers, that's the easiest to build around. End closer debuffs are harder (run air groove for that).

Then run Maru's as it kicks in a lot earlier. If you have Maru's and dont want Oguri's then get Taiki's. I heard Ryan's is good too but I think that's more for end closers. Homestretch haste helps me in the final one, there's some other ones like ramp up which gives a boost when passing people. Maybe you just need a few extra speed abilities at the end. Triumphant pulse kicking in at the end has helped me edge forward in a race, in tandem with homestretch haste which is really really good
