I feel like these people are so deranged, the ramifications or faults of the character are seen as empowering. Like Riri is ghetto trash who steals things from MIT, is somehow also smart but allies with The Hood and his gang of murderers, just to make a quick buck. No MCU hero thus far has just casually allied with criminals for personal gain. And her motive for doing this is to become "iconic" and mass produce Iron Man armors for the world. Tony was trying to prevent this. But nu writers see it as something worthy of praise.
I think Doomsday is going to the signal the true and definitive possibly permanent end of capeshit movies. It features an ensemble cast of people who have been ruined or hated by the post Endgame directorial and writing staff. Then it also features the FoX-Men, who are ONCE again apart of mutliversal bullshit as if DOFP and Wandavision: Featuring Dr. Strange didn't address those already. Then you have the cast saying that they haven't even started filming or making a script for Avengers Secret War which comes out 2 years from now. F4's lukewarm reception and even by extension, Superman's are starting to show that people are just apathetic or tired of these kinds of stories. Even if they're tolerable, they need a break. Try this shit again in 40 years when most of the older generations are dead and then maybe we might have something. As it stands now, were all tired of it.
