Why are people like this? Aqua affinity and water breathing exists. The only downgrade is that old clusters of spaghetti cheese caves don't generate and actual cliffs and overhangs are too rare, those that generate at cave entrances don't count.

Exposed your own IQ level with this one. Afking does suck, but many still do with their farms. Nighttime is the time to expand your base, organize, and to cave. If you have a window in the ceiling or a clock, you always know when to come out.

1.9 was an amazing update and PvP needed to change. It was never good or interesting, otherwise it would've been an eSport.

It is a complete shame, and it doesn't make any sense because they still advertise the game for its survival mechanics. There are some very simple tweaks to fix this: beds should only work in safe areas and always spawn monsters, more monsters should spawn and sprinting should aggravate a bigger range, wild animals drop less meat and villages don't generate hay, players must farm food manually, and lastly iron and other valuable items can only be get from caving, not from treasure chests.
