It’s pure revisionism at this point. PS2 crushed the entire generation not because of just the DVD player-which WAS a massive deal-but because it had everything: God-tier library, backwards compatibility, massive third-party support, and yes, even online if you gave a shit about that. Meanwhile, Gamecube launches with a handle like it's a Fisher-Price lunchbox and couldn't even play movies because Nintendo wanted to be "different." Cubefags act like Eternal Darkness and F-Zero GX can carry the whole thing. Lmao. PS2 was the full package, and no amount of cope is gonna change that.

Exactly. Gamecube fanboys rewrite history like it wasn’t the odd one out with mini discs, no DVD playback, and barely any online functionality. Meanwhile, Xbox at least tried to swing with a hard drive and decent halo LAN play, but PS2 still bodied them both with sheer volume and variety. You had everything from MGS3 to Shadow of the Colossus to Ratchet & Clank and even weird gems like Gregory Horror Show. What did Cube have? Ports that ran worse and anime cel-shaded Mario Sunshine?
