Vidya was fun while it lasted, I played it all my life, tried every genre and played every classic game from every genre.
But now, no vidya can scratch that itch for me, I’ve seen it all, and it’s time to move on.

Not op but I also think age is irrelevant here, you could be 37 years old but your total play time is way less than a guy who is 24. Also when you grew up the gaming industry was also still evolving and every few years new genres and tech are invented, but now the industry is stale, and the major thing that the industry trying to develop at is the DEI aspect.

Anyway I don't think vidya itself is necessarily incompatible with a full life and you can play games in foreign language to learn it.
I feel like wasting time on videos, doomscrolling and yes, arguing here is far worse. I wish I played more games because at least that doesn't feel like a complete waste.
